Country Style BBQ Ribs

Country-style BBQ ribs slow-cooked are a delicious and hearty dish that is sure to satisfy your taste buds. Here's a simple recipe for making country-style BBQ ribs in your Rockpot!

Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds boneless country-style pork ribs

2 Tbsp liquid smoke ( mesquite is or fav)

1 onion diced

1/2 cup sugar

1 18 oz bottle of favorite BBQ sauce

salt and pepper

 

Instructions

1.Spray inner pot with non stick cooking spray or olive oil

place ribs in the bottom of inner pot and place 

2. Pour the 2 Tbsp of liquid smoke directly over pork ribs

3.Add Salt and Pepper, Onion, Brown sugar, Entire bottle of BBQ sauce

4. Cover with inner lid and inset into Rockpot making sure the stone is in place and secure Rockpot lid closed.

5. Let cook for 5 hours min

serves 4 Enjoy!

 

Heating the RockTablet on stovetop:

Place RockTablet on the largest burner. Place inner pot on top of the RockTablet.
Turn the heat on high. Heat the RockTablet for 30 minutes with inner pot sitting on the stone. After 30 minutes, turn off heat, remove inner pot from stone.
Place HOT RockTablet in the bottom of the RockPot. Put the inner cooking pot (full of hot food) in the RockPot on the hot stone. Close the RockPot and latch the lid.

Heating the RockTablet by fire:
Heat the RockTablet for 30 minutes in the fire.
While stone is heating, combine all ingredients in the inner cooking pot and stir.
Place HOT stone in the bottom of the RockPot.
Put inner cooking pot (full of food) in the RockPot on the RockTablet.
Put the lid on the inner pot.
Close the RockPot and latch the lid.
Let it cook for 8 hours, once the casserole is cooked you can remove the RockTablet from the Rockpot and place food back in the Rockpot to keep warm for up to 8 hours.
