Red Beans & Sausage
This spicy and savory Red Beans and Sausage dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends! Our recipe features red beans, smoked sausage, onions, and garlic simmered in a flavorful sauce. Ingredients: 

  • 1 lb dried red beans
  • 2 lbs kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 8 c chicken broth
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 can tomato paste – 6oz
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning blend

Instructions 

  1. Soak beans in water overnight
  2. Rinse and drain beans
  3. Combine all ingredients, Stir
  4. Cook for 8 hours

Heating the RockTablet by fire:
Heat the RockTablet for 30 minutes in the fire.
While stone is heating, combine all ingredients in the inner cooking pot and stir.
Place HOT stone in the bottom of the RockPot.
Put inner cooking pot (full of food) in the RockPot on the RockTablet.
Put the lid on the inner pot.
Close the RockPot and latch the lid.
Let cook for 8 hours
Serve with a Rice, if desired

Heating the RockTablet on stovetop:
Place RockTablet on burner
Place inner pot on rock tablet
Turn heat on high
Add all ingredients to inner pot while stone is heating, place lid on inner pot
Heat rock tablet for 30 minutes with inner pot sitting on the stone, food will be boiling.
After 30 minutes, turn off heat, remove inner pot from stone
Place HOT RockTablet in the bottom of the RockPot
Put inner cooking pot (full of hot food) in the RockPot on the hot stone
Close the RockPot and latch the lid
Let cook for 8 hours
Serve with Rice, if desired
