Breakfast Sausage Casserole
This delicious Breakfast Sausage Casserole is the perfect way to start your morning! Made with savory sausage, fluffy eggs, and melted cheese, this casserole is sure to be a hit with the whole family. Enjoy with a side of fresh fruit for a complete breakfast. Ingredients: 

  • 1 lb  diced Breakfast sausage
  • 1/2 diced Green pepper
  • 1 (30-oz) package Hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 diced Onion, small
  • 8 Eggs, large
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard, dry
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/2 Red pepper
  • 1 Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp Seasoned salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, sharp packed
  • 1 1/3 cups Half and half
  • 1 1/2 cups Monterey jack cheese, packed

Instructions 

  1. Combine all ingredients in inner pot. Optional, line the inner pot with parchment paper to help prevent burning on the bottom 
  2. Choose your method of heating the Rocktablet, 
  3. Make sure you stir the casserole occasionally   

Heating the RockTablet by fire:
Heat the RockTablet for 30 minutes in the fire.
While stone is heating, combine all ingredients in the inner cooking pot and stir.
Place HOT stone in the bottom of the RockPot.
Put inner cooking pot (full of food) in the RockPot on the RockTablet.
Put the lid on the inner pot.
Close the RockPot and latch the lid.
Let it cook for 1.5 hour, once the casserole is cooked you can remove the RockTablet from the Rockpot and place food back in the Rockpot to keep warm for up to 8 hours. 

Heating the RockTablet on stovetop:
Place RockTablet on largest burner.
Turn the heat on high. 
While the RockTablet is heating, add all ingredients to inner pot. 
Heat the RockTablet for 30 minutes, add the inner pot sitting on the stone for the last 10 minutes of heating to give it a jump start.
After 30 minutes, turn off heat, remove inner pot from stone
Place HOT RockTablet in the bottom of the RockPot
Put inner cooking pot (full of hot food) in the RockPot on the hot stone
Close the RockPot and latch the lid.

Let it cook for 1.5 hour. Stir periodically. Once the casserole is cooked you can remove the RockTablet from the Rockpot and place food back in the Rockpot to keep warm for up to 8 hours.
